About Us

Fletcher Physical Therapy and Consulting, LLC provides a unique, customized approach to addressing your physical health needs.  In addition to rehabilitating any injury or physical impairments you may have, we provide services that cannot be offered in an insurance driven model.  These include prevention, wellness, and ongoing maintenance or physical training services.  We provide periodic tune-ups or updates to your home or gym based exercise program.  We can see you at your home or office if needed.  And, because we believe in empowering individuals to self treat, we provide access to our gym during limited business hours at a low cost or free of charge (please inquire).

All sessions are one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in the McKenzie Method/Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy and in manual physical therapy techniques.  You will be evaluated and treated using these evidence based methods.

We do not bill insurance.  Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted.

A physician referral may not be needed.  Please inquire.  Fletcher Physical Therapy and Consulting, LLC is licensed and insured.

Amy Fletcher, DPT, Dip MDT, FAAOMPT

Amy graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Creighton University in 2000.  She has practiced outpatient orthopedic physical therapy since that time, and in New Mexico since 2003.  Amy specializes in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), also known as the McKenzie Method.  It is a system of assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.  She achieved her Certification in MDT in 2007, and then became a Diplomat in MDT in 2010 after completing a clinical residency.  The Diploma is the highest level of achievement in the McKenzie Institute's Educational Program.  The McKenzie Method emphasizes proper clinical diagnosis of a musculoskeletal problem, and teaching patients how to “self treat” and prevent or minimize future recurrences of the same problem.  It has been repeatedly shown in scientific literature to be an effective and reliable method for assessment and treatment of spinal and other musculoskeletal disorders.  Amy is passionate about practicing the McKenzie Method and is an active member of the McKenzie Institute.

Amy also completed a three year fellowship in Manual Therapy in 2013.  She became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT).
