We provide a musculoskeletal assessment and if needed, an ergonomic assessment, to identify problem areas and reduce the risk of injury. Problem areas may include decreased flexibility, weakness, decreased mobility, abnormal movement patterns, decreased balance, abnormal walking or running. We provide one-on-one treatment to address your individual problem areas that will include exercise prescription, education and advice to reduce risk of injury, and may include manual therapy (hands on procedures) if needed. Preventative treatment is not covered by insurance and therefore not available in an insurance driven practice.
We provide treatment for individuals preparing for an orthopedic surgical procedure. Addressing weakness and decreased mobility/flexibility prior to a surgical procedure has been shown to lead to better outcomes with recovery and rehabilitation. We provide advice on immediate post operative self care, expectations from your surgery and rehabilitation, and crutch/cane/walker training.
We provide treatment and rehabilitation for painful conditions, and for recovery after injury or surgery. Sessions will consist of one-on-one treatment to address your individual problem areas and in accordance with any postoperative guidelines when applicable. You will be reassessed regularly and advanced toward your individual goals and desired activity level.
We provide periodic “tune ups” as needed so that once you are healthy, you can stay healthy. This may include updates to your home, gym, or community based exercise program as well as hands on techniques and guidance. Alternately, we can see you on a regular basis for an individualized fitness training program. Wellness is not covered by insurance and therefore not available in an insurance driven practice.
Use of Gym
Use of the gym during limited business hours is included with prepaid packages for a limited period of time, and at a low rate afterward (please inquire).
We can come to you to assess your movement in your environment whether that be your home, office, or vehicle. You might benefit from a movement and/or ergonomic assessment if your life includes working on a computer, housework, mounting bikes onto your vehicle, driving, lifting small children , etc. This is important for both recovery from injury and prevention of injury. This service is not covered by insurance and therefore not available in an insurance driven practice. Other onsite assessments are possible so please inquire.
